Drilling Fluid Decanting Centrifuge
Introduction
Drilling Fluid Decanting Centrifuge has advantages in wide adaptability great throughput,continuous and simple operation,easy installation, and small floor area, and is mainly used in petroleum,environmental protection industry,chemical, food, paper-making, brewing and amylum,industry etc.
The decanter separates suspension based on the pinciple of centrifugal settlement.A suspension is supplied to the rotating bowl through an accelerator centrifugal force and transported towards the right shaft of the bowl by the conveyor and then discharged through solids discharge ports.While lighter liquid phase flows to liquid discharge ports at the left shaft of the bowl.
Structural features
The centrifug is used to separate solid and liquid in the rotary drum completely.It is mainly composed of rotary drum, screw conveyor, adifferential case and motors.
The rotary assembly is mounted on the two main bearing housings horizontally.The screw conveyor is installed in the rotary drum with deep groove ball bearing and tapered roller bearing. The main motor is connected with the fluid coupling by bell wheel. The differential casa is mounted on the left shaft of the bowl and is connected to the screw conveyor with mating splines. The main motor drives the fluid coupling and then drives the screw conveyor while the secondary motor drives the differential case.
The structure of main components is described as the following:
The bowl
The bowl is composed of a cylindrical section and a conical section. The large-end shaft, differential,coupling plate and belt roller of secondary motor are at the left end.The small-end shaft,belt roller of main motor and feeding pipe are at the right end.The sludge is discharged through the discharge ports in the conical small-end,while the slurry flow out from discharge holes in the conical large-end. The pulley of main motor and the flange of gearbox are connectecl with the large-end and the small-end respectiely. Also there is a hole for bowl cleaning. In the connection of the cylindrical and conical section there is a hole through which the conveyor’s wear can be measured.
The screw conveyor
The conveyor comprises conveyor boby,left spline hub,right spline hub,left bearing and right bearing etc. The conveyor is connected with the differential case by mating splines. So the conveyor and the bowl rotated in different speed, thetefore the sludge is discharged.
The differential case
The differential is the most important and the precisest components of the decanter. It is comprise two 2K-H planetary gears,the inner wheel is connected with the bowl through a flange and rotates with the bowl synchronously.The shaft of the first-stage sun wheel is drived by the secondary motor.After decelerated the two-stage planetary gear,the conveyor is drived througeh the spline hub.
